Hotel Review – Ibis Styles, Krabi, Thailand

We were looking for a nice and simple place to stay in the Krabi area as this was a last minute trip we booked with only two days notice. We found that the Ibis Style Krabi suited all our requirements so we decided to make a booking directly on the Accor Hotels website.

We stayed for four nights and paid a very reasonable $280 NZD in total (yes in total) for a studio room which had a queen bed and bunks for our 2 children and breakfast included.

Upon arriving, we were greed by the more than friendly staff with a welcome drink. Check-in was a breeze and the bags were in our room when we arrived.

When entering our room we were greeted with an amazing view of the craggy limestone cliffs that surround the area. There’s something so relaxing about being around nature and we absolutely loved waking up to the view from our room balcony.

The room had large soft teddy bears on the bunk beds for the kids which they absolutely loved, as soon as we walked into the room they saw the teddies and ran up to them screaming with laughter, its such a small touch which made the kids so happy.

The family room was spacious enough for the 4 of us, the kids were happy enough on the bunk beds, whilst we had a king size bed with a soft luxurious bedding. We had our own TV on the dividing wall and the kids had another on the other side complete with XBOX.

We also had some fresh local fruit waiting for us, which was great to sit on the balcony eating before we jumped into the swimming pool.

The swimming pool itself was a decent size for the adults and a smaller pool for the children plus a little playground for the kids (slide and swings). Next to the pool, there is a massage area, so if you get chance she does a great foot massage!

The breakfast buffet was cheap around $12 and children dined for free. They also do poolside lunch deals such as 2 for 1 pizza and happy hour drinks in the afternoon.

One great service was every hour from 8am to 9pm there was a free shuttle bus which took you down to Ao Nang beach area and back again. If you wanted to stretch those legs and walk, its only about 15 minutes.

There’s plenty of restaurants, shops, cafes, massages in walking distance from the hotel.

When I come back to this part of Thailand, I will be staying here again. This was great value for money.
